Emergency Garage Door Repair in Boise

A door stuck open leaves your house unsecured, and a door stuck shut can trap the car you need. Both jump our queue — evenings and weekends included.

What Counts as an Emergency

We treat four situations as genuine emergencies, because each one leaves you either unsafe or stranded:

What to Do Before We Arrive

Stop pressing the button. Whatever is wrong, more cycles make it worse and can turn a spring job into a spring, cable, track and opener job. If the door is stuck open and you need to secure the house, pull the opener's emergency release cord — the red handle on the trolley — but only if the door is fully open and you know the springs are intact. If a spring is broken, do not release the trolley: the door will come down with its full weight behind it. When in doubt, leave it and call; we would rather talk you through it on the phone than treat an injury.

Winter Nights Are Our Busiest Window

The valley's emergency pattern is seasonal and predictable. Cold snaps snap springs, and they do it in the early morning when the door gets its first cycle of the day — which is exactly when you were leaving for work. Frozen bottom seals rack doors off track on the same mornings. And winter power cuts strand doors on openers without battery backup. We staff for evening and weekend calls through the cold months for that reason.

Honest About After-Hours Pricing

An emergency visit outside normal hours costs more than a scheduled one, and we will tell you the number on the phone before we come out. What we do not do is inflate parts prices because it is late, or invent additional problems while you are stressed and in a hurry. If the safe answer is to secure the door tonight and do the full repair in daylight for less, we will say so.

Emergency Service FAQs

My door is stuck open and I need to leave. What now?

Call us and say the door is stuck open — that gets priority. If the door is fully open and the springs are intact, the opener's red release cord lets you lower it by hand. If a spring is broken, do not release it; the door will drop under its own weight.

Do you charge extra for evenings and weekends?

Yes, an after-hours visit costs more than a scheduled one, and we quote that number on the phone before dispatching. Parts are priced the same whatever time it is.

Can you secure my house tonight and repair tomorrow?

Often, yes, and sometimes it saves you money. If the door can be safely closed and secured now with the full repair done in daylight, we will offer that as an option.

What is the most common Boise emergency call?

A spring that snapped overnight during a cold snap, discovered at 6 a.m. with the car inside. Second is a door frozen to the slab that got racked off its track by the opener.
